About Dunk Calculator
We built Dunk Calculator to replace guesswork with real numbers. No login, no ads blocking the tool — just your measurements in, and a clear training target out.
Why We Built This
Every hooper who's ever stood under a rim has asked the same question: "How high do I actually need to jump?" Most answers online are vague — "just jump higher" isn't a training plan. We wanted a tool that turns your height and reach into a specific, honest number, and then tells you what to do about it.
Dunk Calculator started as a simple formula on a spreadsheet and grew into a full site with hang time, takeoff speed, 360 and reverse dunk margins, and a training plan that adjusts to how far you actually are from dunking.
What Guides Us
- Accuracy first. Every output is grounded in the same formula coaches use on the court: required vertical = (rim height + clearance) − standing reach.
- No noise. No account walls, no popups between you and your number.
- Real training guidance. A number without a plan isn't useful — every result comes with next steps.
